The story
A celebration composed
The Grand Lakeside Pavilion is the resort's signature gathering canvas: a dramatic glass volume cantilevered above volcanic stone, its floor plate turned fully toward Lake Hayk. At 2,030 metres in the Wollo highlands, the pavilion holds ceremony and reception in one continuous sightline — no back row, no obstructed horizon. Ceremonies unfold on a raised stone dais at the water's edge; as light falls, the same room transforms for dining beneath a lattice of brass and timber, with Ethiopian tibeb textiles and pampas grass softening the architecture without dimming the view. Production is discreet: broadcast-ready arrays tuck into the ceiling coffers, acoustic treatment is tuned for vow and violin alike, and VIP arrival can be choreographed from private mooring or motorcade without crossing the guest floor. Our events concierge holds the narrative from first sketch to final toast — catering tier, floral curation, room blocks and late-night lakeside send-offs — so the day reads as one authored story rather than a checklist of vendors.
